Feasterville is home to lovely parks where you can enjoy the weather, breathe fresh air, and maybe even spot some local wildlife. The question becomes which parks are most worth your time, as there are quite a few different places around the Feasterville area. Fortunately, the beloved parks you’ll see below are all clean, huge, and not too crowded, plus each one has one or two special somethings that set it apart.

Tyler State Park

This park is set on the Neshaminy Creek and dominated by gorgeous views of running water, especially from the covered bridges. The wild atmosphere makes this place great for picnics. Tyler State Park also has very wide unpaved trails that don’t get crowded, even with riders on horseback, and if you’re looking to float on the creek, you can go to the boat house and cook up what you catch at the nearby barbecue grills. Whether you’re looking for beautiful subjects for nature photography or just a fun day out with the family, Tyler State Park is never a wrong choice.

Playwicki Farm

Half farm and half park, Playwicki is full of paved and raw trails that look different every season and are great for a jog, including a mile-long loop over hilly terrain. The park also has cool features you won’t see anywhere else, such as the meditation circle. If you want to see some great produce, crafts, and potential gifts, consider also visiting Playwicki Farm for their regular farmer’s markets and flea markets.

Core Creek Park

Wonderful in all four seasons, Core Creek Park is particularly special during the fall and winter, when the lake freezes, snow gathers in patches along the hills, and the leaves change color and eventually shed. You can rent paddle boats to ride around the lake during the warmer months as well, and there are canoes and fishing docks plus picnic tables, walking trails, thick woods, and a basketball court. Core Creek Park also has an off-leash dog park, so bring the pooches!

Neshaminy Shore Picnic Park

If you’re going to have a big party or other gathering and need something exclusive and well cared for, Neshaminy Shore Picnic Park is private and lets groups of 40 or more rent the park for set amounts of time. Neshaminy is especially great for families with kids, with sand volleyball, paddle boats, rock climbing, mini-golf, four different swimming pools with slides, a dunk tank, and even a video arcade. The park also has superb refreshments provided by Texas Catering that goes back to a state fair. While it’s not free, this park is worth it for birthdays and other events.

We hope the four parks above have what you’re looking for, because an afternoon at any of them is sure to be a blast. Whether it’s riding over the lake at Core Creek Park or finding inner peace at the Playwicki Farm meditation circle, there’s sure to be something thing you love about each one.
